Newest Babies in my Corner

The past 4 months (from just before Thanksgiving until just before St. Patrick's Day) have been full of baby showers for me!  Neices, neighbors, cousins, co-workers, and even the mom of one of my 5th-graders.  Here's the name list:

Gianna

Tanner

Hugo

Atticus

Scarlett

Harlowe

Grant

Dalton

Ivy

Charlotte

Theodore

Asher

Skyler

Violet

Marlowe

Hugo & Atticus are fraternal twin boys and Skyler and Violet are identical twin girls.

I just can't believe how different they are!  Some dated, some trendy, some obscure, some classic.  I guess Northeast Ohio doesn't have a single style.

I forgot to put Aurora on the list.

Plus, my colleague's niece is having a baby girl, and they are naming her Xyllena.  Anyone ever heard of it? I am told it is Greek.  It's not on BNW, but I haven't had time to check any other sites.

It might be? Or at least a riff on a Greek name? I've found Xylia listed as being from the root xylos, "wood," and I confirmed that in a Greek lexicon, so I guess Xyllena could be interpreted as a variant of that. I doubt the -ena ending is authentic Greek, though it could be a Latinized version of something like Xylene (which I just reverse-engineered knowing what I know about Greek name construction, don't quote me on that!)
