Myron Name Meaning & Origin
Origin of the name Myron:
A borrowing from the Greek, Myron is derived from myron (myrrh, a fragrant resin used in making incense and perfume). The name was borne by a Greek sculptor of the 5th century B.C. and is said to have been taken up by early Christians because of the gift of myrrh made to the Christ child by the Three Wise Men.
